SSS#4 - Finally I made a piece of shit and the development log of it.

Hey guys. I finally published a small game the past few days.

The Hollo Men on itch.io

As those of you who have played it will know (if you haven’t, you don’t need to play it, it’s a waste of time), this is an undeniably shitty game. I spent about a month on it, and I produced crap.
But I don’t regret it too much, because the requirements I set when I started this project had been met. Those requirements were,

  1. Experiment graphically with HD resolution backgrounds and pixel art characters
  2. Finish the project in the shortest possible development time
  3. Publish on itch.io so that anyone can access, instead of burying a game in the hard drive as I have done so far, judging it to be shit piece.
  4. Make it all by myself.

At least, the initial goal of the development has been achieved.

I have a lot of pictures of the development in progress, so I’ll put them here as a development log.

Finally, color grading was applied to the main BG and a scarecrow was added to complete the title screen.
By the way, I stole the title “The Hollow Men” from a poem by T.S. Eliot. I was reading his poem when I was working on this game.

I’ll try to do better next time. See you soon.
